Handshake At The Start
As expected from Seaview we knew this one was going to be tough.....but not that tough !! A fast start from both teams saw Ventnor with the clearest opportunity in the early action when Harry Mulholland hit the post in the first 5 minutes !!
Early Goal Celebrations
Although possession was probably 50/50 till now, we managed to break them down shortly after "H's" miss when Nathan Mursell headed-in from close range to secure us a much needed 1-0 lead.
Nathan Mursell In Match Action
With half the Brading Towne (Res) team watching intently from the sidelines we continued to push forward but found Seaview a stubborn side who were lucky to go into the break just 1-0 down !!
Spence Goes In Hard !!
Out for the second and Seaview began to thrown the "Kitchen Sink" at us, bombarding our goal from the start we done well to keep them at bay. With tempers fraying the referee found it necessary to award an £8'er to Seaview for "Bad Language" !!
Seaview Battle Back
We managed to break the chain of play mid-way through the 2nd half and began to spray the ball around the park with ease. With fluent passing and match-winning ball possession we managed to hold-on to the "Vital" 1-0 lead and wrap up all three points.
More Ventnor WAG's
Very difficult to pick an outright man of the match, such was the level of our play. Callum played a blinder saving us from bad problems numerous times in the second half. Jamie Treadwell showed a touch of class on more than one occasion. But for me Nathan Mursell was just that bit special and gets my "Website Man Of The Match" award. Well played son your first half was the best you have played all season !!
