Team Talk Before Kick-Off
Both teams made a tentative start this week with both sides squandering some clear chances in the early exchanges.

In Front Of The Packed Stands !!
An injury to one of their defenders early in the first half meant an already depleted Shanklin side had to send on their ageing manager as they had no other players turn-up fit enough to play !!

Early Injury For Shanklin
After a blatant penalty up stepped Simon Crates only to hit the ball into the clouds !! The deadlock though was broken halfway through the first period when Jamie Treadwell poked in our first. The remainder of the 1st half was pretty even with Simon Crates making up for his penalty nightmare with some very solid play in defence, and Graham Parsons keeping up the vocals !!

GC Lines Up Shot
Out for the second half and "GC" began to show his class. Dazzling turns and pacey play saw the England Beach Soccer International score a blinder for 2-0 and virtually putting the game out of reach of a struggling Shanklin twelve !!

Spence In Match Action
Three second half substitutions seemed to add plenty of zest to the side as we continued to dominate play. "H" showed plenty of pace after coming on at the expense of "Barbs" and quickly found the net after some well timed runs, sealing the match 3-0.

Harry Cant Believe His Luck
Some great play from "ALL" the team had me scratching my head for this weeks "Man Of The Match" award. Gray Parsons was solid in defence as was Si Crates. Liam Mullholland was his usual "Brick S**t House" in midfield. Jake played his heart out on the wing. But after much deliberation this weeks "Man Of The Match" award goes to "GC" for his sheer quality of play.
Well done mate, a well deserved award for some gifted play
Players should note that there is a £20 prize and a medal to the "Man Of The Match" at the Cup final on Thursday so be sure to stand-out !!
