Past Match Reports
A nervous start from Ventnor, as again we started the match very slowly. We allowed Arreton to score the first goal very early on, but after the twenty minute mark we easily began to stamp our authority on the game, scoring three before the half time whistle !!
After a dressing down from gaffer "Mank" at half time, we started the second half in the same manner as we finished the first as we scored an early goal to as good as finish a galant Arreton side off. But back came Athletic scoring when gifted a very weak looking penalty, but to no avail, Ventnor were in far sharper form the longer the game went on.
We eventually ran out 7-2 winners after a hard fought ninety minute slog and in doing so keep ourselves firmly in the hunt for league honours. Well done to all involved, a much deserved success !!
A special congratulations to "Spence" who bagged a hard earned hatrick and in the mean-time earned himself our first "Man Of The Match" award. Great second goal, a strong challenger for goal of the season we feel !!
